BIOWIZ HABIT TRACKERPRIVACY POLICY
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Biowiz HabitTracker (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is developed and operated by Ritwiz Swarnkar. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Habit Data
The habits you create — names, colors, schedules, completion history, and sections — are stored on your device and, if you’re signed into iCloud, synced across your own devices using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit service. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us.
Health Data (HealthKit)
If you choose to enable it, the App reads your Apple Watch or iPhone Activity Ring data (Move, Exercise, and Stand progress) to display it alongside your habits and to automatically track a “Close Rings” habit.
- The App only reads this data — it never writes to or modifies your Health data.
- Health data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Health data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or data brokers.
- Health data stays on your device and syncs only through Apple’s own HealthKit and iCloud systems, not through our servers.
Purchase Information
Purchases (subscriptions, lifetime unlocks) are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see, collect, or store your payment card details. Apple may share limited transaction information with us (such as whether a purchase was completed) as part of standard App Store reporting.
Email Address
If you redeem a student-discounted lifetime purchase, we ask for your email address before completing the purchase. This email is sent to our server and used to:
- Provide occasional updates about the App
- Send marketing communications about new features, offers, or related products
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails, or by contacting us at the address below.
Coupon Codes
If you redeem a coupon code, the code itself is sent to our server to verify and process the redemption. Coupon codes are not, on their own, linked to any other personal information unless you separately provide an email address (see above).
Notifications
Habit reminders are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple’s local notification system. This data never leaves your device or reaches our servers.
Diagnostic and Usage Data
We do not currently collect analytics or usage tracking data beyond what Apple itself may collect as part of standard App Store operation (such as crash reports, if you’ve opted into sharing these with developers via your device settings).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality
- Process purchases and coupon redemptions
- Send you marketing communications, where you’ve provided an email address for that purpose
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the App over time
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple (StoreKit, CloudKit, HealthKit) — for purchases, cross-device sync, and Activity Ring integration. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
We do not use third-party advertising networks or analytics SDKs.
4. Data Retention
- Habit data persists in your iCloud account until you delete it (via the App’s “Delete All Habits & Data” option, by deleting individual habits, or by removing the App and its iCloud data).
- Email addresses collected for marketing are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Coupon redemption records are retained for fraud prevention and support purposes.
5. Your Rights
You may:
- Delete your habit data at any time using the “Delete All Habits & Data” option in Settings, or by deleting individual habits.
- Request deletion of your email address from our marketing list by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Revoke Health data access at any time via the Health app (Sharing → Apps) or your device’s Settings.
- Contact us with any privacy-related question or request at the email below.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
